Most awaited project for People of Ahmedabad, It has been almost 4 years when the construction of river front has been restarted but you can see the progress in submitted photo! However many festivals are now being celebrated on river front. Mostly festivals for Vibrant Gujarat like International Kites Festival was held recently on river front area. આનંદ નો ગરબો – A ritual folk dance

A ritual folk dance performed by ladies. Garba is well known folk dance of Gujarat. Its mainly performed on navaratri – a festival of dance : nava meaning nine and ratri meaning nights. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Shakti/Devi are worshipped. The shown dance is not related to navaratri, but devi is worshipped through this ritual dance.

Now days this bridge in the noon can be seen deserted due to scorching hit, but in the evening it gets jammed with crazy traffic. This is a very old bridge on Sabarmati river its open since 1973 and one of the main and busy bridge over the city.

Shiv theater – Renovated

Shiv theater is now renovated, probably its been bought by some cinema chain company and now it’s going to be open to the public.

Some years ago when Ahmedabad has no multiplexes Shiv was the most popular theater, even when there were few multiplexes this theater has managed to survive. But public needs a change! So now its renovated and will be open for the public very soon!

Traffic in the evening

Traffic in the evening near Subhash Bridge, the hoarding in the background says many things. Hon. Narendra Modi has definitely made many changes that common man be thankful of, but not to forget of many issues that public is still facing. Still there are cattle on the roads, every road is still not constructed well and many of them has manholes open or not closed properly. BRTS would definitely have solved many problems but other roads and security of public while they are on road is not yet considered!
